Organization

An organizaiton is any structured group of individuals cooperating towards the same goals or objectives. This can involve different structures: enterprises, non-profit organizations, the state, or educational establishments. In a company, people are assigned specific responsibilities nevertheless, the organisational structure is usually hierarchical, and communication is passed on through the channels of authority. Organizational structure can differ from one situation to another and depend on size, industry and culture. In addition, today, the most known organizational models or structures are vertical, matrix, and flat structures. Effective organizing implies directing assets, processes, and people towards their optimum use to achieve the desired outcome. That could involve strategic planning, decision-making, delegation, and establishing highways of communication and collaboration. The performance of the enterprise in the market is determined by its ability to adapt to change, innovate, and meet the tasks predetermined for it while also meeting the demands of stakeholders.

Example

In a multinational corporation, the company consists of disparate departments such as marketing, finance, and operations, which, in turn, have their workforce with specialized functions. The marketing department is responsible for advertising and marketing of a product or service, while the finance department deals with budgeting and fiscal reporting. When this department controls operations in production and logistics, each department sees its employees working together to meet the department's goals, which brings along the company's goals in general. The role of leadership is to set the organisation's course and ensure that the organization is run effectively and efficiently. Scheduled meetings and communication channels mean collaborating and making big decisions easier when working across departments. As the organization stays with unity of inner structure and encourages partnership, the corporation reaches to the maximum level of efficiency and effectiveness through strategic initiatives and satisfying the customer needs.
