Job Summary

We are hiring a detail-oriented and compassionate behavior technician to support individuals with autism and developmental disorders. You will implement behavior plans, monitor progress, and work directly with clients to improve their quality of life. Ideal candidates are patient, reliable, and committed to client success.

Behavior Technician Responsibilities and Duties

• Implement one-on-one behavioral interventions using ABA techniques
• Collect accurate behavior data and document session notes
• Follow treatment plans created by the supervising BCBA
• Support clients in improving communication, social, and functional skills
• Assist in managing challenging behaviors with approved strategies
• Provide feedback on client performance to the clinical team
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
• Attend required training sessions and team meetings
• Travel to client homes, schools, or therapy centers as needed

Behavior Technician Qualifications and Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and attention to detail
• Ability to follow structured plans and protocols
• Comfortable working with children or adults with special needs
• Familiarity with ABA principles is a plus
• Physical ability to engage with clients in active sessions
• Reliable transportation for in-home or on-site sessions

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• 1–2 years of experience working with individuals with autism or developmental delays
• CPR and First Aid certification may be required
• Background checks and clearances are required
