About the Role

We’re looking for a dynamic Cyber Security Analyst to protect our systems and data from cyber threats. As the bridge between security protocols and organizational operations, you’ll monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents while ensuring compliance. This role requires technical expertise, vigilance, and a proactive mindset.

Cyber Security Analyst Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Monitor networks and systems for security breaches or suspicious activity
• Analyze and respond to cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement protective measures
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify weaknesses
• Develop and update security policies, procedures, and incident response plans
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
• Investigate security alerts and provide detailed incident reports
• Align security efforts with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
• Communicate security updates and recommendations to stakeholders

Cyber Security Analyst Qualifications and Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and threat landscapes
• Excellent incident response and forensic investigation skills
• Experience with security tools (e.g., Splunk, Wireshark, Nessus)
• Familiarity with network protocols, firewalls, and encryption technologies
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity or related roles
• Experience with threat detection, incident response, or vulnerability management
• Proven success in mitigating cyber risks or securing systems
• Certifications like CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH are a plus
