About the Role

We are seeking an energetic and personable leasing agent to join our property management team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in sales and customer service, with the ability to match renters with the right housing solution. You’ll be responsible for showing units, processing applications, and ensuring a smooth leasing experience.

Leasing Agent Responsibilities and Duties

• Show available rental properties to prospective tenants
• Answer inquiries via phone, email, or in person
• Explain leasing terms, policies, and community features
• Process rental applications and screen tenants
• Prepare and manage lease agreements and renewals
• Follow up with leads and maintain a prospect database
• Assist with marketing and outreach efforts to attract tenants
• Conduct move-in/move-out inspections
• Collaborate with property management to resolve tenant concerns
• Ensure compliance with local housing laws and regulations

Leasing Agent Qualifications and Skills

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Sales or leasing experience preferred
• Familiarity with rental laws and leasing practices
• Organized, detail-oriented, and efficient
• Basic proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio)
• Ability to multitask and work independently
• Professional appearance and demeanor

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field (preferred)
• 1–2 years of leasing or customer-facing sales experience
• A real estate license may be required depending on the location
