The job board is an online platform where employers advertise their vacant positions and applicants seek suitable employment. Job seekers can upload their resumes to apply for different jobs with just a few clicks. On the other hand, employers leverage job boards for a wider audience of prospective candidates and simplify their hiring process as the applications are managed within the platform. There are a bunch of popular job boards, such as Indeed, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and Monster, which provide various features and services for job seekers and employers.

An instance of a job board is when the company offers a software developer job through an online platform such as Indeed. Candidates, ranging from recent graduates to experienced professionals, scan through the listings based on location and required skills. An engineer who is actively looking for opportunities learns about the job posting, reads through the description, and identifies her qualifications that are a good match for the required skills. Finally, they upload their resume to the job board website and/or go through any additional application steps that may be required by the job board platform.
