About the Role

We are looking for a diesel mechanic to diagnose and repair engines, do maintenance, and ensure safety and performance. You should have mechanical skills, experience with diagnostic tools, and a focus on quality.

Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities and Duties

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines and related systems
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify mechanical issues
• Replace or repair faulty parts, including engines, transmissions, and fuel systems
• Maintain accurate records of services and repairs performed
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently
• Stay updated on the latest industry practices and technologies

Diesel Mechanic Qualifications and Skills

• Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and components
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and repair tools
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in various conditions
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a diesel technology program or vocational training is preferred
• ASE Diesel Certification is a plus
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred
