Mechanical Engineer Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and products
• Create and analyze technical drawings and specifications using CAD software
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment
• Conduct testing and simulations to validate designs and performance
• Identify and resolve mechanical issues during development and production
• Optimize designs for cost, efficiency, and manufacturability
• Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Align engineering efforts with business goals and client requirements
• Document designs, processes, and test results for team reference

Mechanical Engineer Qualifications and Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles and materials
• Excellent proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
• Experience with prototyping, testing, and validation processes
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality control

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design or engineering roles
• Experience with CAD software and engineering simulations
• Previous success delivering mechanical systems or products
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or advanced degree is a plus
